O papel da mulher trabalhadora na víndima do Douro: da obra "Vindima" de Miguel Torga à atualidade

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo proceder a uma leitura do romance Vindima de Miguel Torga no século XX, e das obras modernas de António Barreto. Realizámos uma comparação entre a descrição da obra literária neo-realista e a condição atual especificamente no respeito do papel das mulheres no trabalho da vindima na região do Douro, procurámos as imagens atentas das condições de viver, trabalho, pagamento, alimentação, repressão, vida pessoal dessas femininas no início do século XX e na atualidade, o que nos permitiu constatar as mudanças e igualdades do papel feminino na vindima. Com tudo isso, também chamámos a atenção de cuidado humano a esse grupo feminino pouco conhecido de vindimadoras

Through reading the novel Vindima written by Miguel Torga in the early twentieth century and the works of the modern writer, António Barreto, we compared specifically the role of women in the work of harvest in region Douro between the depiction in literary creation of the neorealist era and the actuality, and researched the precise image of living condition, work, payment, human rights, repression and personal life of these female workers in the early twentieth century and today, which allowed us to observe the changes and the similarities of these female workers’ condition in the harvest. With all of that, we also appeal to the humanistic solicitude for this female group rarely known by public
