Avaliação do impacto económico do turismo em Portugal a nível regional

Abstract

A presente dissertação visa analisar o contributo que a actividade turística tem em Portugal, a nível regional, sobre o PIB, através do uso da técnica econométrica, análise de dados em painel, sendo o período de análise temporal de 18 anos (1990-2007). Após uma revisão teórica da literatura e caracterização das regiões NUTs II: Norte, Centro, Lisboa, Alentejo, Algarve, Açores e Madeira, recorrer-se-á à estimação econométrica, através do EViews5 e usando o modelo LSDV dos Efeitos Fixos para estimar variáveis directamente associadas à actividade turística, com o objectivo de medir a sua relação e contributo sobre o PIB nacional. Finalmente, o principal objectivo desta dissertação é avaliar a relação que o turismo tem no PIB e identificar as regiões que mais contribuem para isso.

ABSTRACT: The present dissertation aims evaluate the contribution that tourism has in Portugal at the regional level on GDP, through the use of econometric techniques, Panel Data Analysis, being the time period of analysis of 18 years (1990-1007). After a theorical review of literature and characterization of the regions NUTs II: North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo, Algarve, Azores and Madeira, will used the econometric estimation, through Eviews5 and using LSDV of Fixed Effects Model to estimate variables directly linked to tourism, with the aim of measuring the relationship and contribution of the national GDP. Finally, the main objective of this dissertation is to evaluate the relationship that tourism has on the GDP, and identify the regions that most contribute for it.
