representação do real.
The aim of this thesis reflects on the process of representation by drawing a three-dimensional form on a two-dimensional support. The intention of this thesis is to analyse and understand the relationship between what is analysed by the brain, what is drawn on paper and critical awareness of the error made in observational drawing, as well as, to know how this triangulation could be developed (analysis, representation and critical awareness of the error) to improve the quality of the reality’s representation. Empirical research was carried in the subject of Drawing in the school year 2012/2013, with two classes of the 11th year of the Product Design course at Escola Artística Soares dos Reis, in Porto. The results suggest that perspective, as a strategy, may help to improve significantly the quality of the drawing from observation. However, when it comes to the stimuli of critical awareness of the error through the strategies discussed in the classroom, it didn’t show any relevance to the quality of the drawings. |
