Abstract

A informática e as redes de informação, nomeadamente a Internet, estão a revolucionar o ensino-aprendizagem. Provocam uma significativa mudança na relação entre docentes e alunos. No ensino tradicional o docente actua como um especialista e narrador de conteúdos, cabendo ao aluno o papel de ouvinte e aprendiz. Na linha construtivista, onde se enquadra a aprendizagem baseada em problemas, o docente desempenha vários papéis, designadamente colaborador, tutor, treinador, orientador na pesquisa da informação, obtida muitas vezes, pelo aluno com recurso a conteúdos disponibilizados na Internet. O aluno passa a ter o papel central no processo de ensino-aprendizagem sendo responsabilizado pela sua evolução. Assim, estimula-se a pesquisa, o espírito de equipa e, principalmente, a interdisciplinaridade, que permite ao aluno aprender e relacionar várias matérias simultaneamente. A tecnologia surge como facilitador para atingir os objectivos da aprendizagem. A globalização e a evolução tecnológica criaram um novo paradigma no ensino aprendizagem, onde o aluno é o agente principal, o docente um orientador, a motivação um factor essencial e a tecnologia um meio, um instrumento ao seu serviço. O ensino da contabilidade necessita de algumas reformulações de forma a preparar os profissionais para actuar nos mercados cada vez mais competitivos. A unidade curricular designada, agora, “Simulação Empresarial” é um exemplo desta nova forma de ensinar e aprender.

ABSTRACT: Computer science and information networks, especially the Internet, are transforming the teaching and learning methods, promoting substantial changes in the teacher and students relationship. In traditional teaching, the teacher acts as an expert and narrator of contents, while the student acts as a listener and apprentice. According to the constructivist approach where the problem-based learning is located, the teacher performs several roles, namely collaborator, tutor and trainer, supervising information research captured most of the times by the student using content resources available in the internet. Now the student occupies the central role in the teaching and learning process and is responsible for his achievements. Within this environment, research, teamwork, and especially interdisciplinarity are enhanced and motivated, allowing the student to possibility of learning and relating several subjects simultaneously. Technology appears as a facilitator to reach the learning purposes. Globalization and technological evolution have created a new paradigm in teaching and learning, and within this realm, the student is the main agent and the teacher his supervisor, the motivation is a key factor and the technology a means to an end and a privileged way at its service. Currently, the teaching of accounting subjects needs some reformulations to prepare professionals to act in ever growing competitive markets. The subject “Simulação Empresarial” constitutes an example of this new way of teaching and learning.
