Protecção e conservação do artesanato ao nível concelhio : o caso de Vila Nova de Gaia

Abstract

Foram vários os estudos realizados sobre o tema artesanato mas nenhum com especial incidência no artesanato de Vila Nova de Gaia. Este estudo pretende ser inovador e funcionar como ponto de partida para futuros estudos para os investigadores que se interessem por este tema ou outros que possam incluir este produto turístico e cultural que é o artesanato de Vila Nova de Gaia. Esta investigação pretende detectar as políticas e práticas para preservar e conservar o artesanato do concelho de Vila Nova de Gaia. Com este propósito foram estudadas as problemáticas que caracterizam o sector do artesanato e estudado o caso particular do artesanato de Vila Nova de Gaia e para isso foram aplicados questionários aos artesãos individuais e às unidades produtivas artesanais para se obterem dados necessários à compreensão da realidade deste sector. A investigação realizada permite tirar conclusões e fazer recomendações necessárias para atenuar ou diminuir os problemas ou dificuldades que este sector enfrenta.

They were several the studies accomplished on the theme handicraft but none with special incidence in the craft of Vila Nova de Gaia. This study intends to be innovative and to work as starting point for futures studies for the investigators that are interested in this theme or others that can include this tourist and cultural product that it is the handicraft of Vila Nova de Gaia. This investigation intends to detect the politics and practices to preserve and to conserve the handicraft of Vila Nova de Gaia. With this purpose they were studied the problems that characterize the sector of the handicraft and studied the case peculiar of the handicraft of Vila Nova de Gaia and for that they were applied questionnaires to the individual artisans and the handicraft productive units for if they obtain necessary data to the understanding of the reality of this sector. The accomplished investigation allows to remove conclusions and to do necessary recommendations to decrease the problems or difficulties that this sector faces.
