Os sons das línguas e a educação para a diversidade linguística no jardim de infância

Abstract

O presente relatório reflete sobre um projeto de intervenção realizado numa sala de jardim de infância, tendo como grande temática a sensibilização à diversidade linguística através dos sons das línguas. Com as sessões de intervenção pretendemos observar as atitudes e aprendizagens das crianças quando sujeitas ao contacto com diferentes línguas. Esse contacto foi estabelecido através da audição de canções, descoberta de palavras e repetições das mesmas nas línguas: português do Brasil, Inglês, Mandarim e Russo, assim como pela visita de falantes dessas mesmas línguas. Ao longo das implementações do projeto foi necessária uma recolha de dados que nos permitisse averiguar se os objetivos e as questões de intervenção-investigação a que nos propusemos foram alcançados. Os dados a analisar foram recolhidos através de observação direta, da avaliação das sessões e dos desenhos produzidos pelas crianças, da videogravação e de um inquérito final por questionário à educadora. Ao analisar os dados recolhidos verificamos que as crianças ao longo do projeto demonstraram cada vez mais interesse pelas línguas, o que auxiliou o desenvolvimento de capacidades linguísticas e a consciencialização sobre a diversidade linguística que as rodeia.

The present study results of an intervention project carried out in a class of kindergarten, in which the main object of study is the awareness of linguistic diversity through the sounds of languages. With the intervention sessions we intend to observe the attitudes and learning skills of the children when they contact with different languages. This contact was established by hearing songs, discovering words and repeating them in the following languages: Portuguese, English, Mandarin, and Russian, and through the visit of native speakers of these languages. Along the implementation of the project, it was necessarycollection of datathat would allow us to verify whether the questions and goals of the research which we committed ourselves to, were achieved. The analyzed data was collected through direct observation of evaluated sessions, of drawings made by the children, through video recording and finally through a questionnaire answered by the teacher. By analyzing the collected data we found that the children throughout the project demonstrated a growing interest of languages, which helped their development of language skills as well as, their awareness of the linguistic diversity that surrounds them.
