Aprendizagens algébricas em contexto interdisciplinar no ensino básico

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se divulgar a análise dos resultados obtidos num estudo experimental sobre a aprendizagem inicial da álgebra em contexto interdisciplinar, realizado em duas turmas do ensino básico. O desenvolvimento de estratégias de resolução de problemas e o uso da tecnologia desempenhou um papel central neste estudo, em particular, a folha de cálculo, revelando-se uma ferramenta natural para a aprendizagem da álgebra num trabalho de âmbito interdisciplinar. No acompanhamento do estudo das turmas, do 2º ao 6º ano de escolaridade, foi possível, com base nos princípios da Educação Matemática e no quadro actual da flexibilidade curricular, desenvolver propostas de trabalho significativas, em contexto interdisciplinar, que visam fomentar a aprendizagem gradual e compreendida da álgebra.

The current work aims to publicise the analysis of the results obtained in an experimental case study regarding early learning and teaching process of algebra in an interdisciplinarity context, in two classes of basic school. The development of problem solving skills and the use of tecnology have played the central role in this study, especially, in what concerns the use of spreadsheet, as a natural tool for this kind of work. Along the study, that covered classes from 2nd to 6th grades it was possible to achieve significant work proposals, considering our flexible curriculum trends, the basic principles of maths education and an interdisciplinarity context that leads to understanding and “make sense” the learning and teaching process of algebra.
