Formulação de um grés porcelânico super-branco e translúcido

Abstract

O presente trabalho surge em parceria com a empresa Revigrés – Indústria de Revestimentos de Grés, Lda., com o objetivo de criar uma nova formulação de grés, a partir das formulações já existentes na empresa, com elevada brancura e translucidez e o aumento do rendimento da cor, mantendo as restantes propriedades mecânicas do corpo sinterizado. Para tal, estudou-se a alteração das suas composições: i) diminuir a percentagem de componentes da pasta que não cozem branco; ii) estudar o efeito de possíveis agentes branqueadores na cor e nas propriedades dos produtos cerâmicos alvo, e iii) estudar o efeito da adição de fritas cerâmicas, com o intuito de minimizar a porosidade e aumentar a densidade das pastas e, consequentemente maximizar a translucidez da pasta.

The present work is a partnership with “Revigrés - Indústria de Revestimentos de Grés, Lda.” with the aim to create a new formulation of stoneware, from the existing formulations of the company, with high whiteness and translucency and increasing the colour performance, maintaining all other mechanical properties of the sintered body. For that purpose, we studied the changes of its compositions: i) reduce the percentage of components that don´t sinter in white; ii) study the possible effects whitening agents have on the colour and properties in the ceramics, and iii) study the effect of adding ceramic frits, in order to minimize the porosity and increase the density of the sinter body and consequently maximize the translucency of the body.
