Colaboração supervisiva no contexto do estágio pedagógico

Abstract

O presente trabalho enquadra-se no domínio de Supervisão (área de especialidade em Língua Estrangeira) e procura compreender a colaboração interinstitucional universidade – escola e a forma como os supervisores se relacionam e comunicam entre si no contexto do estágio pedagógico. Pretende verificar a importância das representações dos supervisores acerca de princípios de acção pedagógica e supervisiva, acerca do seu papel e das suas funções, bem como da interacção organizacional e institucional na formação inicial de professores. O objectivo será realçar a necessidade de protocolar a colaboração supervisiva entre os intervenientes responsáveis pelo contexto do estágio pedagógico, quer a nível institucional, quer por parte dos profissionais, bem como reflectir acerca da formação dos supervisores de professores, em Portugal. Procuramos descrever a política da formação inicial de professores, relevando o papel da prática pedagógica e da supervisão. Realçamos alguns modelos de formação e tentamos focalizar a colaboração e o desenvolvimento de parcerias no contexto do estágio pedagógico. O estudo empírico centra-se em dois modelos de formação de professores: a licenciatura em Ensino da Universidade de Aveiro e a licenciatura do Ramo de Formação Educacional, da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. No estudo participaram os supervisores de Inglês da Universidades de Aveiro e da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Os resultados deste estudo mostraram a necessidade das Universidades assumirem de forma mais clara o seu envolvimento no campo formação inicial de professores, tanto nas componentes académicas como nas componentes profissionalizantes dessa formação. As respostas obtidas apontam também para a necessidade de se clarificar o papel e as funções dos supervisores, da Universidade e da Escola, no sentido de melhorar as relações de colaboração supervisiva no processo de formação dos estagiários.

ABSTRACT: The present study is focused on the institutional collaboration and interaction among the two supervisors involved in the teacher training preparation programmes and the way they communicate this relationship. This paper is a comparative study focusing on the interaction and collaboration among the supervisors in the teacher preparation programs in relation to the practicum. In essence, the objective of this study is to emphasize the need to establish a specific protocol (guideline, framework) regarding the collaboration among supervisors. This framework should or must highlight the supervisors’ role and function in the realm of teacher preparation as a supervisor, mediator and facilitator for teacher trainees. It is important to look for a specific protocol in relation to collaboration among supervisors and their respective Faculties or educational institutions. At an institutional level professionals involved (supervisors) can reflect regarding teacher preparation of the supervisors in Portugal. The analysis on this study is based on two different models of Teacher Preparation Programmes: a teaching degree from the University of Aveiro and a degree on Education from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Oporto. The sample used for this study were all the school supervisors and those from the English Department of the University of Aveiro and the University of OPorto – Faculty of Arts. The results of this study showed the need for Universities to undertake, in a clear manner, an involvement in the field of teacher training courses, not only on academic basis but also on the basis of professionalism. It also showed the need to clarify the role and functions of University and school supervisors, in the sense of bettering the relationship of collaboration of supervisors regarding the teaching of trainees.
