Intercompreensão e poesia no 1º CEB: os sons das línguas

Abstract

O Relatório Final de Estágio que aqui se apresenta teve como objetivo de estudo compreender as potencialidades educativas de um trabalho em torno da Intercompreensão, com recurso ao texto poético, em diferentes línguas românicas, no 1º ciclo do Ensino Básico (1º CEB). Parte-se do pressuposto de que no 1º CEB é fundamental proporcionar aos alunos alicerces que permitam a construção de um percurso educativo variado e enriquecedor, sendo uma etapa ideal para levar até aos alunos o conhecimento sobre/de outras línguas e culturas. Nesse sentido, a Intercompreensão, no contexto de uma educação plurilingue, pode construir-se a partir do reconhecimento e da valorização da diversidade linguística e cultural que nos rodeia, estabelecendo pontes entre línguas e culturas. Por forma a proporcionar aos nossos alunos um contacto diferente com a diversidade linguística, surgiu a oportunidade de abordar a poesia, potenciadora do desenvolvimento e consolidação de várias competências linguísticas e de estratégias de compreensão, atendendo aos sons das línguas, um dos aspetos sobre o qual recaiu este trabalho. Partindo deste pressuposto e desta oportunidade, desenvolveu-se um estudo, no âmbito da unidade curricular de Seminário de Investigação Educacional A1 e A2 em articulação com a unidade curricular de Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada A1 e A2, de tipo investigação-ação, tendo os dados sido recolhidos através da observação das sessões do projeto de intervenção A Poesia na Casa das Línguas, que foram vídeo-gravadas e transcritas e da análise dos registos dos alunos, efetuados nas fichas de trabalho e de avaliação das sessões, tendo-se optado pela análise de conteúdo como método de análise de dados. Este projeto foi realizado numa turma de 2º ano de escolaridade do concelho de Aveiro e prolongou-se por seis sessões. Após a análise de conteúdo dos dados recolhidos podemos concluir que os alunos mobilizam a Intercompreensão, embora com desempenhos distintos na oralidade e na escrita e mostraram dificuldades em aceder ao sentido de textos/enunciados longos em línguas mais afastadas do português, como o francês e o romeno. Em contrapartida percebemos que estes alunos recorreram com mais frequência a estratégias cognitivas. Para além destes aspetos, convém assinalar que estes alunos conseguiram alargar o seu repertório linguístico-comunicativo e estabelecer comparações que lhes permitiram encontrar semelhanças e diferenças entre as línguas românicas, ficando mais sensibilizados para a diversidade linguística. Com este estudo foi ainda possível perceber que um trabalho didático com a IC pode ter outro tipo de resultados num nível mais avançado de escolaridade sendo que, nos primeiros anos de escolaridade, poderá apostar-se na sensibilização à diversidade linguística e cultural, a par do desenvolvimento, nos alunos, de um conhecimento mais aprofundado da língua de escolarização.

This Final Practicum Report had as a goal to understand the educational potential of Intercomprehension (IC), using the poetic text, in different Romanic languages as a didactic resource in the 1st Cycle of Basic School. We depart from the assumption that the 1st Cycle of Basic School is essential to provide students with foundations that allow the construction of a varied and enriching educational competences, namely to take up children knowledge on /of other languages and cultures. In this sense, Intercomprehension, in the context of a multilingual education, can be built from the recognition and appreciation of linguistic and cultural diversity that surrounds us, establishing links between cultures and languages. In order to provide our students a different contact with linguistic diversity, the opportunity came to address the poetry, potentiating the development and consolidation of multiple language skills, comprehension strategies, attending to the sounds of languages, one of the aspects on which rested this work. Based on this assumption and this opportunity, in the context of the Master’s degree in Preschool Education and Teaching of 1st Cycle of Basic School, of the Aveiro University, we developed an action research study The data were collected through observation sessions of intervention program Poetry in the House of Languages, which were video-recorded and transcribed . This program was developed in a 2nd grade class in the municipality of Aveiro and lasted for six sessions. We analyzed the records of the sessions with the children and their worksheets and assessment work. Content analysis was the method of data analysis chosen. After the content analysis of the collected data we can conclude that children mobilize Intercomprehension skills, though with different performances in oral and written and they showed difficulties in accessing the meaning of texts / long statement in languages further away from Portuguese, such as French and Romanian. On the other hand we realize that these children appealed more frequently to cognitive strategies. Besides these aspects, it should be noted that these pupils were able to expand their linguistic and communicative repertoire and draw comparisons that allowed them to find similarities and differences between Romanic Languages becoming more aware of linguistic diversity. With this study it was still possible to realize than a didactic work with IC may have another type of results in a more advanced level of education and, during the first years of schooling, you can bet on the awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, the alongside the development in children a deeper understanding of the mother tongue/ language of schooling.
