Diálogos da lusofonia: consciência léxico-semântica e lexicultura

Abstract

O presente estudo enquadra-se no âmbito do percurso formativo do Mestrado em ensino do 1.º e 2.º ciclo do Ensino Básico, cujo principal objetivo é compreender em que medida a “lexicultura lusófona”, em particular os neologismos das variedades intralinguísticas da Língua Portuguesa, contribui para o desenvolvimento da Consciência Léxico-Semântica de alunos do 1.º CEB, oriundo dos países lusófonos. A investigação, com contornos de investigação-ação, foi implementada numa escola do 1.º CEB do concelho de Aveiro, em particular, numa turma do 2.º ano, durante o 3.º período do ano letivo 2012/2013, através de um projeto intitulado “Viagens Misteriosas”. Este foi concebido e implementado por nós, sendo composto por seis sessões, ao longo das quais recolhemos dados que, pela análise de conteúdo, nos permitiram dar resposta aos objetivos e questões investigativas. Sendo Portugal um país com uma comunidade imigrante muito significativa, as escolas portuguesas são, também elas, marcadas pela diversidade linguística e cultural. Esta diversidade é também evidenciada pelos alunos com origens lusófonas. Assim, importa ter em conta, nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa, as variedades intralinguísticas da mesma e os neologismos que delas emergem. O léxico é um dos aspetos que mais difere da norma europeia da Língua Portuguesa, uma vez que surge como forma de satisfazer as necessidades comunicativas dos falantes dos países lusófonos. Entender o léxico das variedades da Língua Portuguesa nestes países, implica conhecer a cultura do seu povo. É neste sentido que surge o conceito de lexicultura. Os dados recolhidos por este estudo evidenciam que a “lexicultura lusófona” é um meio para desenvolver a Consciência Léxico-Semântica dos alunos, pois os contactos que estabeleceram com as variedades da Língua Portuguesa possibilitaram o conhecimento das mesmas, assim como de algum vocabulário e o seu significado. Por fim, com recurso à “lexicultura lusófona” foi possível aceder ao valor das palavras e promover o diálogo intercultural.

This study fits within the training path of the Master in Teaching the first and second years of Basic Education, which main goal is to understand to what extent the "Portuguese-speaking Countries Lexiculture", in particular the neologisms of the intralinguistic varieties of the Portuguese Language, contributes to the development of lexical-semantic awareness in the primary school students coming from Portuguese-speaking countries. The research, with research-action outlines, was implemented in a school of the primary cycle in the municipality of Aveiro, in particular, in a class of the second year during the third period of the school year 2012/2013 through a project entitled "Mysterious Travels". This project was designed and implemented by us, consisting of six sessions, in which we collected data and with its content analysis, we were able to meet the goals and reply to the investigative questions. Being Portugal a country with a very significant immigrant community, Portuguese schools are also marked by linguistic and cultural diversity. This diversity is also evidenced by the students with Portuguese-speaking origins. Thus, it is important to take into account, in Portuguese language lessons, the intralinguistic varieties and neologisms that are part of them. The lexicon is one of the aspects that most differs from standard European Portuguese Language, since it appears as a way to meet the communicative needs of the speakers of Portuguese speaking countries. Understand the lexicon of Portuguese Language varieties in these countries implies knowing the culture of its people. It is in this sense that the concept of lexiculture arises. The data gathered by this study show that the "Portuguese-speaking Countries Lexiculture" is a means to develop students’ lexical-semantic awareness, because the contacts established with the Portuguese language varieties allowed the students to get to know them, as well as some of the vocabulary and its meaning. Finally, using the "Portuguese-speaking Countries Lexiculture" it was possible access the words value and to promote intercultural dialogue.
