Abstract: | O cyberbullying pode ser caracterizado por um comportamento agressivo e intencional. Aproximadamente 20 a 40% dos jovens afirmam serem vítimas de cyberbullying (Patchin & Hinduja, 2006) e cerca de 11% a 17% afirmam ter molestado alguém. O presente estudo pretende caracterizar o cyberbullying numa amostra da população universitária. Foi utilizado o Questionário de Cyberbullying no Ensino Superior (QCES) que apresenta 4 Subescalas que avaliam Vítimas, Agressores, Observadores de Agressores e Observadores das vítimas.
Na nossa amostra, com 229 indivíduos, 70,3 % (n=161) são do sexo feminino e 29,7 % (n=68) são do sexo masculino. Dos inquiridos que já foram vítimas deste tipo de agressão, 50,8 % frequentavam o ensino superior aquando da mesma. Nalguns dos resultados, a literatura ainda não é consensual. Como principal limitação deste estudo referimos o risco de a mesma pessoa poder responder mais do que uma vez ao questionário online, sem podermos controlar este efeito. Cyberbullying can be characterized by an aggressive, intentional behavior. Approximately 20-40% of young people claim to be victims of cyberbullying (Patchin & Hinduja, 2006) and about 11% to 17% claim to have molested someone. The present study aims to characterize cyberbullying a sample of the university population. Questionnaire Cyberbullying in Higher Education (QCES) having 4 subscales that assess Victims, Perpetrators, Observers Perpetrators and victims observers was used. In our sample of 229 individuals, 70.3% (n = 161) were female and 29.7% (n = 68) were male. Of respondents who have been victims of this type of aggression, 50.8% were attending higher education at the same. Some results, the literature is not consensual. The main limitation of this study refer to the risk that the same person can respond more than once to the online questionnaire, without being able to control this effect. |
