Educação para a paz e não violência, numa comunidade escolar

Abstract

Os estudos sobre a paz têm início em meados do século XX, construídos a partir de bases filosóficas, fatos e personagens da história do Ocidente e Oriente, que continuam a contribuir na profundidade e reflexões aos estudos e ações que se voltam às temáticas de Paz e Cultura de Paz. Ao reconhecer a instituição Escola como um campo favorável ao desenvolvimento de valores éticos, sociais, de paz e boa convivência entre pares, voltamos o olhar para questionar as relações estabelecidas no ambiente escolar nas dimensões professor-aluno-professor, gestor-escola-comunidade. Tencionamos abrir uma discussão voltada para a prevenção da violência escolar, neste propósito, dirigiram-se ações de reflexão e questionamento junto aos responsáveis pela educação (professores e coordenadores pedagógicos) na busca de avaliar a percepção que os mesmos detêm sobre a questão da violência. Neste sentido, objetivou-se identificar, nos profissionais envolvidos, o entendimento e enfrentamento nas questões relacionadas à violência. A presente pesquisa realiza-se através de um estudo de cunho exploratório descritivo, os dados são de natureza quantitativa, obtidos através de questionários apenas com questões fechadas, sendo apresentados no corpus da pesquisa. Os resultados indicam que o nível de percepção dos professores e equipe pedagógica acerca da violência é ainda elementar. Sobre as ações de enfrentamento e prevenção da violência na escola, verificamos que algumas ações têm sido percebidas entre o algo desenvolvido ao médio desenvolvido. O que concluimos que será de grande importância a implantação de Educação para a Paz nesta instituição.

This research is carried out through a descriptive exploratory study, the data are quantitative in nature, only obtained through questionnaires with closed questions are presented in the research corpus. The results indicate that the level of perception of teachers and teaching staff about violence is still elementary. On actions to combat and prevention of school violence, we find that some actions have been perceived between something developed over medium developed. What we conclude that will be of great importance to the implementation of Education for Peace in school.
