Design e interacção gestual

Abstract

Os paradigmas de interacção vigentes encontram-se associados à manipulação com dispositivos de entrada indirecta como o rato. Face à emergência da interactividade multi-táctil sobre superfícies reactivas, torna-se relevante uma reflexão sobre a mudança operada pela relação directa do corpo através da mão com os conteúdos e objectos representados na superfície. A partir do estudo da literatura científica dos elementos componentes da interacção e das principais técnicas de interacção gestural, propõe-se um quadro metodológico para o design da interacção gestual e multi-táctil perspectivado à luz de três abordagens: empírica, metafórica, e fenomenológica.

ABSTRACT: Existing interaction paradigms are associated with direct manipulation with indirect input devices such as the mouse. By accounting the emergency of multitouch interactivity on reactive surfaces, it becomes relevant to discuss upon the changes brought by the direct relation of the body, trough the hand, with the contents and objects represented on surface. From the study of the scientific literature of the elements of the interaction and the principal gestural interaction techniques, we propose a methodological framework for the design gestural interaction based on three main approaches: empirical, metaphorical and phenomenological.
