O design no contexto da calamidade sísmica - a construção de um kit de sobrevivência

Abstract

Enquanto seres sociais que por natureza premeiam o instinto de sobrevivência como resposta às dificuldades em território de desastre, perante a mutação veloz e a dissipação da tangibilidade do espaço que os rodeia, os indivíduos assumem reacções distintas. A resiliência passa assim, pela metamorfose entre a materialização e a emoção, o sentimento, o conhecimento prático e a interacção. Com o desígnio da concretização de um kit de sobrevivência e respectiva estratégia de distribuição, nas 72 horas que precedem o sismo, reflecte-se nas acções dos indivíduos face à adversidade e na sua correlação com a esfera pragmática e interactiva do produto, buscando uma compreensão da emergência. Deste modo, o arquétipo base do presente estudo, consiste na exploração do Design enquanto disciplina fundamentalmente social e agente que pode contribuir de forma preponderante para a assistência imediata a indivíduos em território de calamidade sísmica.

As social beings that by nature reward the survival instinct as response to difficulties in a disaster area, before a fast mutation and the space tangibility dissipation surrounding them, the individuals have different reactions. The resilience is evident therefore, by the metamorphosis between materialization and emotion, feeling, practical knowledge and interaction. With the purpose of creating a survival kit and respective distribution strategy, in the 72 hours after an earthquake, it's reflected in this study, the actions of individuals in the face of adversity and its correlation with the pragmatic and interactive part of the product, searching the comprehension of the emergency. Thus, the basic archetype of this study, consist in the exploration of Design as a discipline fundamentally social and also an agent that can contribute overwhelmingly for the immediate assistance of individuals in the territory of earthquake calamity.
