Espelho meu, espelho teu: o portfolio reflexivo no ensino das artes visuais

Abstract

O Espelho, como reflexo da própria imagem, sempre esteve ligado ao misticismo, revelando o que outrora estava encoberto. Este objecto paradigmático, é o único com o poder de nos fazer contemplar a própria face, tornando-se no Outro. Este Outro que nos torna conhecedores de nós mesmos, não só pela imagem que reflecte mas pelo poder que tem em transformar e fazer reflectir. Como seres sociais, o nosso Eu é também o Outro e sem ele nunca nos conheceremos verdadeiramente. A Educação Artística assente em metodologias construtivistas, numa constante dinâmica interactiva de ensino-aprendizagem, procura uma educação global do indivíduo, tornando-o mais activo, ambicioso, reflexivo e em constante questionamento sobre si, sobre os outros, sobre o mundo e sobre o seu processo de ensino. E é na área das Artes, que emerge o conceito Portfolio, como uma mostra de melhores trabalhos. Conceito que tem evoluído nos últimos anos nas Ciências da Educação, tornando-se uma metodologia de topo (em alguns países) de avaliação e aprendizagem. Ao portfolio das Artes de eras passadas, foram adicionadas novas características ligadas à reflexão constante, construída em conjunto (alunoprofessor- meio), formando alunos mais conscientes de si e assim do seu futuro. O portfolio do aluno pretende ser o seu próprio espelho, revelando o seu Eu, construído pelo que lhe é intimo e pelo Outro. Deste modo, este trabalho pretende ser um contributo para a construção de um novo Portfolio Reflexivo do aluno nas disciplinas artísticas, apresentando um pequeno estudo que pretendeu incidir sobre a palavra escrita, como objecto perene, de meditação e de mediação, metodologia rara ainda nos dias de hoje, nas sociedades artísticas.

The Mirror – understood as a reflection of self image – has always been connected to mysticism, revealing what was once hidden. This paradigmatic object is the only one capable of making us contemplate our own face, thus becoming the Other. The Other allows us to know ourselves, not only through our reflected image, but also through its power to transform and project. As social beings, our Self also includes the Other, without which we can never truly know ourselves. Based on constructive methodologies and creating a constant and interactive dynamics between teaching and learning, Art Education seeks global education for individuals, making them more active, more ambitious and more reflective. Not only that it makes them constantly question themselves, others, the world and the teaching methods being applied to them. The concept of Portfolio first appeared in the Arts as a showcase of the finest works. This concept evolved in the field of Education in the last years, becoming (in some countries) a first rate methodology in what regards evaluation and learning. New characteristics were added to the Arts portfolio of long ago. Characteristics related to a constant reflection which student, teacher and environment build together, thus training more conscious students – both of themselves as well as of their future. The student's portfolio is intended to be his/her own mirror, revealing the student's Self, and is built by what is construed as intimate and by the Other. The work being presented is meant to contribute to the construction of a new Reflective Portfolio of the student in artistic subjects, presenting a modest study on the written word – perennial object of meditation and mediation, and still a rare methodology in artistic societies of today.
