Materiais audiovisuais autênticos: suporte para a cultura em ELE

Abstract

Pelo facto de muitas vezes no ensino de uma língua estrangeira ser relegada para segundo plano a cultura, neste estudo tentamos perceber a importância do ensino dos aspetos culturais para uma competência comunicativa intercultural. Pretendemos igualmente entender as estratégias, os métodos que mais motivam os alunos e a relevância dos documentos audiovisuais autênticos para a aprendizagem cultural. Após revisão bibliográfica no sentido de enquadrar os objetivos deste estudo, foi elaborado um projeto de investigação-ação, onde foram utilizados diversos instrumentos de ensino para abordar os aspetos culturais e foram feitas algumas questões no sentido de estudar a importância que lhes é atribuída pelos alunos para a aproximação à língua e à cultura alvos. Os resultados permitiram-nos perceber que a motivação é inerente ao processo de aprendizagem e que está ao serviço do professor de línguas sempre que estimulada. Sugerem-nos também que os materiais audiovisuais autênticos devem ser utilizados quer para o ensino de língua quer para o de cultura.

Due to the fact that many times in the teaching process of a foreign language culture is relegated to a second plan, in this study we tried to realize the importance of teaching cultural aspects to develop an intercultural communicative competence. We also want to understand the strategies, the methods that motivate the students and recognize the importance of audiovisual authentic documents in the cultural learning process. After the literature review, in order to frame the objectives of this study, a project of research-action was designed, where different educational instruments were used to teach cultural aspects and after that some questions were asked to the students to know how important those instruments are in the approach to language and culture objects. The results allowed us to realize that the motivation is inherent in the learning process and serves the language teacher when stimulated. It also suggested to us that the authentic audiovisual materials must be used either for teaching language and culture.
