Neste sentido, a
Increasingly, people are worrying about global warming, as a result of environmental pollution, and the economic crisis that is felt around the world. The sum of these two events is causing motivation to seek out the root of the problem and to find a solution that makes sense to the various contributors to the problem. Considering this, reducing the energy needs of buildings is a valid solution because it not only reduces GHG emissions, but also reduces energy consumption costs. The first step towards the solution in the near future lies in the modification of thermal regulations, making them more demanding so they cultivate the interest of thermal designers to produce more energy efficient solutions. The objective of this research is based on a study of buildings with Passivhaus standards. It also focuses on the constructive application of the concept that this standard represents in a Portuguese dwelling. It seeks to reduce the overall energy consumption in order to optimize the buildings' energy performance in order to be in accordance with the regulations. Therefore meeting the Portuguese Passivhaus standard and obtaining an high energy rating certificate. Finally we compare the energy consumption of the subjects reached with the energy consumption of the original dwelling. This analysis helps us to determine the large amounts of CO2 emissions avoided per year. The results show that by applying the Passivhaus standard, people will be able to reach an excellent thermal behavior associated with very low power consumption and avoid waste of energy and CO2 emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the method of construction in order to provide thermal comfort while reducing cost and making the environment cleaner. |
