Abstract: | Num contexto de generalização do acesso a computadores pessoais e à
Internet, a implementação do programa e.escola possibilitou a aquisição
In a context of widespread access to PCs and the Internet, the implementation of the e.escola program allowed a considerable acquisition of computers and the use of Internet by elementary school (10-15 years old) students in a short time. This study aims to examine how students and parents use Internet and to infer the level of internet training for students in the 2nd and 3rd cycles and their carers. This study also tries to understand how the educational system contributed to this training during the 2008-2009 school year. The study consists of three parts. The first concerns a review of literature on Internet, school autonomy and management and school-family relationship, the second one presents/ discusses a case study based on qualitative and interpretive research in a 2nd and 3rd cycles school and the third part relates to results and future research directions. Some results can be briefly highlighted, the use of Internet more intensely by students and parents (communication), the type of Internet training referred by most of the students (self-training) and their parents (with their own children) and the relevance of the use and Internet training at school. |
