dc.description.abstractCurrent mirrors (CM) are commonly used in most signal processing and conditioning analog circuits. This makes them an important building block in analog electronics, especially on the so-called current-mode circuits. In these applications, CM strongly impact both noise performance and frequency response. This paper presents a comparison between six classical CM regarding bandwidth aspects. This comparison is made based on analytical and simulation results. Furthermore, some design guidelines are also discussed for bandwidth maximization. These guidelines can be used to design optimized current-mode circuits. © 2002 IEEE.pt
