Recursos Web no 1º ciclo do ensino básico : estudo comparativo entre o litoral e o interior

Abstract

Este trabalho de investigação tem por objectivo analisar o impacto e a real utilização dos recursos Web no 1.º ciclo do Ensino Básico e verificar a existência, ou não, de diferenças de utilização entre o Litoral e o Interior de Portugal. Numa época em que a maior parte da Sociedade recorre diariamente às Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação e da Internet para a realização de inúmeras actividades, a introdução destas novas ferramentas de comunicação nos estabelecimentos de ensino surge como um imperativo a cumprir. É aqui que as Escolas do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico têm um papel preponderante. Incorporar as Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação e a Internet no processo ensino-aprendizagem é uma tarefa inevitável. No entanto, existem ainda inúmeras barreiras a ultrapassar, que serão apresentadas ao longo deste trabalho. Pretendeu-se ainda, com a realização deste estudo, verificar em que condições e com que apoios, nomeadamente de programas institucionais, os professores recorrem às novas ferramentas de comunicação, com que finalidade as utilizam em sala de aula e com que dificuldades se deparam. Por forma a obtermos um melhor conhecimento da realidade existente no Litoral e no Interior, elaborámos um estudo de caso, com apresentação de questionários a todas as Escolas do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico dos distritosde Aveiro e Guarda. Cientes da existência de algumas limitações ao estudo julgamos que o mesmo reflecte um pouco a realidade existente nos distritos em análise e poderá contribuir para a introdução de medidas de melhoria em programas de apoio futuros.

The objective of this research paper is to analyse the impact and the true application of Web resources in primary school and also to determine whether there are differences in use between the more urban littoral areas and the more rural inland ones of Portugal. In an era when the majority of the society uses Information and Communication Technologies and the Internet on a daily basis to perform different activities, it is imperative to introduce these communication tools in educational establishments. In this process, primary schools have a preponderant role. To incorporate the Internet and the Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching-learning process is unavoidable. However, there are yet many barriers to overcome that will be presented in this paper. Another objective of this study was to determine in what conditions and with which supports, namely from institutional programmes, teachers use the new communication tools, the purpose which they are used in the classroom and the difficulties teachers find. In order to know the reality of the urban littoral area and the more rural inland one better, we performed a case study by presenting a questionnaire to all the primary schools of the districts of Aveiro and Guarda. Though we are aware of the existence of some limitations to this study, we think it reflects a small part of the reality of the districts analyzed and will possibly contribute to introduce improving measures in future supporting programmes.
