Gestão e abastecimento de material em postos de embalagem de perfis de alumínio

Abstract

Este relatório descreve o projeto, realizado no âmbito do estágio curricular, cujo objetivo principal foi o levantamento das situações onde ocorriam desperdícios na secção de embalagem da empresa Extrusal, o estudo dos processos envolvidos, a proposta de ações de melhoria e a sua implementação, quando possível. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre os princípios da filosofia Lean e sobre a implementação de algumas das suas ferramentas como preparação para o desenvolvimento do projeto. Após uma análise pormenorizada aos problemas encontrados nas diversas localizações relativas à embalagem, concluiu-se que a ferramenta apropriada para iniciar a eliminação do desperdício nas condições existentes era a ferramenta 5S que, por sua vez, iria permitir a introdução do Pensamento Lean no contexto em causa e preparar o processo para a aplicação posterior de outras ferramentas Lean. Após uma avaliação da cadeia de valor e do funcionamento geral das naves, foi feita a seleção dos pontos de trabalho na fábrica a serem intervencionados, seguida da especificação das alterações a implementar. Por fim, foram analisados os resultados obtidos e discutidas propostas de implementações futuras, na perspetiva da melhoria contínua.

This report describes the project, fulfilled in the scope of the curricular internship, which the main objective consisted in the gathering of the situations where waste was detected, in the packing section of the company Extrusal, the study of the processes involved, the proposal of improvement actions and implementations, when possible. A literature search on the principles of Lean philosophy and the implementation of some of its tools, in preparation for the development of the project, was held. After a detailed analysis of the problems found in the different locations related with the packing, it is concluded that the most appropriate tool to start this project is the 5S tool, which by itself allows the introduction of the Lean Thinking in the current subject and prepares the process to the application of other Lean tools in the future. After an evaluation to the Value Chain and general functioning of the blocks/ships, were selected the factory working points that would be intervened, followed by the specification of the modifications to implement. Finally, the obtained results were analysed and future implementation proposals discussed, in the perspective of the continuous improvement.
