vento, direção do vento, humidade relativa e pressão atmosférica. No
The relationship between environmental variability and the behavior of fish stocks, has been evaluated in several scientific research. In this context the present work is from on the analyses of the distribution and relative abundance of pelagic species in the southern region of Angola specifically in Namibe province, due to the influence of environmental and oceanographic variability in a period between 2008 to 2014. Fishing data used refer to fishing activity using the art of siege craft vessels and semi-industrial. The environmental component data analysed where (sea surface temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure). With respect to environmental factors, it is noted that variability of water the surface temperature was not higher than 28°C, the prevailing winds were WSW with a aproximadante speed 5m/s, and the average variation of the relative humidity is above 70%, but the atmospheric pressure had a seasonal behavior with two well-defined scenarios. The results show that environmental variability strongly influenced the distribution and abundance of species and hence the size of the catch, also that in the south of the province there was the biggest production |
