Conflitos de género em Niketche, de Paulina Chiziane

Abstract

O presente trabalho é uma dissertação que é redigida para culminação do Curso de Mestrado ministrado pela Universidade de Aveiro. O mesmo gravita em torno do tema “Conflitos de Género em Niketche, de Paulina Chiziane”. Esta dissertação é composta por uma introdução onde fazemos o lançamento das linhas mestras das abordagens que serão feitas relativamente à poligamia e aos conflitos de género que são latentes em relações conjugais, tanto monogâmicas como poligâmicas, aflorando os aspetos conflituosos que caracterizam a convivência homem / mulher desde os primórdios da existência humana. Uma problematização e alguns subsídios concatenados à relevância e à atualidade do tema. Um desenvolvimento composto por dois capítulos: no primeiro capítulo, fazemos a Fundamentação Teórica com as ideias de vários autores relativamente à poligamia, concretamente: a poligamia em contraste com a monogamia, a origem, as causas, as consequências e, em última instância, as possíveis vantagens da poligamia. No segundo capítulo apresentamos os Conflitos de Género encontrados em algumas passagens de Niketche, onde desenha-se um drama muito complicado para as mulheres que possuem a obrigatoriedade de viver em relações poligâmicas, sofrendo desprezo, abandono e solidão perante um olhar inerte da sociedade. Finalmente, apresentamos a conclusão onde fazemos as ilações finais relativamente ao tema e as abordagens feitas durante o desenvolvimento, e terminamos com a bibliografia.

The present work is a dissertation for Master Degree at Aveiro University. It deals with gender conflicts in Niketche from Paulina Chiziane. This dissertation is composed of an introduction where we provide the main approach lines that will be discussed in relation with the polygamy and gender conflicts that are latent in monogamous and mainly in polygamous conjugal relations looking at the conflicting aspects that characterize the man/ woman companionship since the beginning of the human existence. There is a statement of the problem and some aspects related with the relevance of the topic to the present days. The development consists of two chapters: in chapter one, we present the literature review where we provide different ideas from different authors about polygamy, mainly the polygamy and contrast with monogamy, the origin, causes, consequences and at last the possible advantages of polygamy. In chapter two, we present the Gender Conflicts found in some passages of Niketche, where is drawn a very complicated drama for women who are forced to live in polygamous relations suffering from scorn, abandonment and loneliness without any reaction from the society. Finally, we present the conclusion in which there are the final remarks of the topic and what was discussed in the work followed by the bibliography.
