Museu e monumento em projeto de educação visual

Abstract

O presente trabalho destina-se a dar a conhecer os trabalhos desenvolvidos pelos alunos de uma escola do concelho de Ílhavo, explorando a relação entre o Museu/Monumento e a escola. A grandiosidade do Farol da Barra e o património cultural e artístico presente no Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo fazem destes espaços únicos e repletos de potencialidades educativas. Neste sentido, pretendeu-se explorar todas essas potencialidades no desenvolvimento de um projeto de Educação Visual. Todo o processo de trabalho desenvolvido em torno da interação entre a escola e o Museu/Monumento tem como intuito dar vida a uma parceria que se pretende cada vez mais dinâmica entre a comunidade escolar e a oferta educativa e cultural promovida pelos Museus. A finalidade deste estudo consiste em compreender o Museu/Monumento como espaço potenciador e facilitador do processo de ensino. O estudo de caso foi o método de investigação utilizado, dado o tipo de recolha que se iria efetuar. Desta forma, as técnicas utilizadas foram essencialmente de natureza qualitativa: observações, inquéritos por entrevistas semiestruturadas e análise documental. De modo a complementar e reforçar os dados da observação direta também se recorreu à aplicação de um inquérito por questionário - análise quantitativa. A análise global dos resultados revela que os alunos consideram que as visitas ao Museu e ao Monumento contribuem para um melhor desenvolvimento dos projetos da disciplina de Educação Visual. Este trabalho permitiu explorar e estimular a relação entre a escola e o Museu/Monumento, desenvolvendo-se uma relação de entreajuda e cooperação entre estes espaços.

This assignment is intended to raise awareness to the work carried out by students of a school in the municipality of Ílhavo, exploring the relationship between the Museum /Monument and the school. The greatness of the Farol da Barra and the cultural and artistic heritage present in the Maritime Museum of Ílhavo make these spaces unique and full of educational potential. Therefore, we sought to explore all these capabilities in the development of a Visual Education project. The whole work process around the interaction between the school and the Museum/Monument, serves to give life to a partnership that aims to be increasingly dynamic between the school community and the cultural and educational provision promoted by the Museums. The purpose of this study is to understand the Museum/Monument as a space enhancer and facilitator of the teaching process. The case study was the research method used, due to the means of the gathering of information which would take place. Thus, the techniques used were essentially qualitative: observations, surveys by semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis. In order to complement and enhance the data from direct observation there was also the resort to the application of a questionnaire survey - quantitative analysis. The global analysis of the results reveals that students consider that visits to the Museum and the Monument contribute towards a greater development of the projects of the Visual Education discipline. This assignment allowed the exploration and the stimulation of the relationship between school and the Museum/Monument, developing a relationship of mutual support and cooperation between these spaces.
