Da edição de guias para a mulher e ensaios sobre a condição feminina durante o Estado Novo (1933-1950)

Abstract

No presente trabalho apresenta-se um estudo exploratório sobre a edição de guias para formação da mulher e de ensaios sobre a condição feminina, durante o Estado Novo, no período compreendido entre 1933 e 1950. O estudo inclui uma inventariação bibliográfica, que contempla também a edição dos mesmos tipos de texto entre 1900 e a instalação da ditadura, realizada por forma a melhor se poderem analisar e avaliar tendências e evolução de uma perspetiva comparada. Esta análise pretenderá esclarecer quais os efeitos que a situação político-social de Portugal durante os primeiros tempos do regime salazarista teve na edição de livros formativos para mulheres.

The present master dissertation proposes to make an exploratory study on the book publishing of education guides for women and essays on the female condition during the Salazar’s dictatorship, in the period between 1933 and 1950. This study will include a bibliographic survey of these types of books published during the above mentioned years and will also consider the publishing of the same types of texts between 1900 and the installation of the dictatorship, in order to better analyze and evaluate trends and developments from a comparative perspective. The descriptive and analytical parts of this study aim to clarify what effects the social and political situation in Portugal during the early days of the Salazar regime had on the publishing of formative books for women.
