Expressões idiomáticas: contributo para uma competência intercultural

Abstract

O presente Relatório Final de Estágio foi elaborado a partir de um projeto de intervenção e de investigação, desenvolvido na componente de formação de Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada, que teve como principais objetivos aprofundar o nosso conhecimento sobre as expressões idiomáticas, enquanto estratégia para contribuir para o desenvolvimento nos nosso alunos de uma consciência crítica intercultural, implementar e investigar essa mesma estratégia junto de uma turma de espanhol do curso científico-humanístico do 10.º ano. Realizámos um projeto com caraterísticas de investigação-ação. Privilegiámos, como instrumentos de recolha de dados, a observação, as notas de campo, os trabalhos realizados pelos alunos e o inquérito por questionário realizado aos alunos, participantes no projeto, no final da implementação do mesmo. Os resultados permitiram-nos concluir que alguns alunos ficaram sensibilizados para desenvolver uma consciência crítica intercultural, ao constatar, através da comparação das expressões idiomáticas em português e em espanhol, que nem todas as línguas retratam a realidade da mesma forma. Os resultados sugerem ainda que outros alunos já atingiram um nível de consciência intercultural mais elevado, mostrando, desta forma, que o trabalho realizado com as expressões idiomáticas é uma abordagem que permite o desenvolvimento da competência intercultural.

The current Final Training Report was carried out starting from a project of intervention and investigation, developed in the formative component Supervised Pedagogic Practice, which main aims were to deepen our knowledge on idiomatic expressions, as an approach to contribute to the growth of a critical intercultural awareness in our students, to implement and to investigate that same approach in a class of Spanish language of the tenth form. We built up an investigation-action project. As data gathering instruments, we privileged the following: observation, field annotations, analysis of the works produced by the students and the questionnaire applied to the students involved in the project, at the end of it. According to the outcome, we may conclude that some students became receptive to the development of a critical intercultural awareness, as they realized, through the comparison of the Portuguese and Spanish idiomatic expressions, that languages do not describe reality in the same way. The outcome also suggests that other students have already achieved a higher intercultural awareness, showing, this way, that the implementation of activities related to idiomatic expressions allows the increase of intercultural skills.
